Domestic smartphone maker Intex Technologies
on Monday unveiled its camera smartphone Intex Aqua Selfie for selfie
lovers, priced at Rs. 6,649. The smartphone highlights a 5-megapixel
front-facing camera with LED flash and will be available via offline
channels from July 17 in Rose Gold and Black colour options.Indian handset maker Intex today launched a
new smartphone dubbed as Aqua Selfie at Rs 6649. The company recently
launched the Aqua S3 smartphone and the new Aqua Selfie is a new
addition to the Aqua series.

Intex makes budget smartphones mostly under its Aqua series. The new Aqua selfie costs Rs 6649 while the Aqua S3 is priced at Rs 5,777. Design
Design wise, the Intex Aqua Selfie comes with a sleek metal unibody design and metal frame all around giving it an overall simple and classy look. The new smartphone features three capacitive navigation buttons and a front LED flash that is housed on the top front panel of the device. The volume rockers and the power/lock buttons are all placed on the right-hand edge of the smartphone. The rear panel of the smartphone houses an 8MP rear camera setup with a LED flash module, while the top front panel features a 5MP selfie camera, LED flash, sensors, and an earpiece.
Specifications and Features
The Intex Aqua Selfie comes equipped with a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz Spreadtrum 9832A quad-core processor which is coupled with a 512 MHz Mali-400 GPU to handle the graphics. In terms of memory, the device is backed by a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card. On the software front, the Intex Aqua Selfie runs on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with light custom UI skin running on top.
In terms of optics, the Intex Aqua Selfie sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and single LED flash. On the front, the smartphone features a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter with an LED flash for capturing bright selfies even in low light.In terms of connectivity, this dual-SIM Intex Aqua Selfie smartphone offers various connectivity options including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, FM Radio, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB port for charging and data transfer. Sensors on the smartphone include Proximity sensor, Gravity sensor, and Ambient Light Sensor. On the battery front, the Intex Aqua Selfie comes loaded with a decent 3,000mAh Li-ion battery with fast-charging support. Dimensionally, the handset measures 155 x 78.8 x 9.2 mm and weighs 178 grams.
